Covid-19 RELATED RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING – ON THIS PAGE WE LIST THE LATEST INFORMATION YOU NEED REGARDING HEALTH PASSES, VACCINE & TESTING REQUIREMENTS, AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION FOR THE UK, FRANCE AND SWITZERLAND IN ORDER TO HELP YOU BEFORE YOU TRAVEL, WHILE IN TIGNES, AND FOR YOU TO TRAVEL BACK THE THE UK.
NB – While we endeavor to keep this info up to date, clear to understand, and correct it is each individuals own responsibility we can not be responsible for any changes in requirements from any country or misunderstanding of the specific rules – they are a guide only, bullet points with links first, basic details below:
- The enter France – Proof of vaccination status – that you’ve had 2 vaccinations at least – proof via UK NHS App / print out or French Tous Anti Covid app (NB – From 15 January 2022, those who are aged 18-64 years old and who have been fully vaccinated for more than seven months will also need to demonstrate they have received an approved COVID-19 booster injection in order to access the “pass sanitaire” in France)
- French ‘Pass Sanitaire’ – Tous Anti Covid app (links to download below) to buy lift passes, access bars, restaurant etc.
- Present a negative PCR or Antigen test result taken within 24 hours pre-departure if aged 12 years and over.
- For transit via Geneva airport: You are eligible to enter Switzerland for any travel purpose if you are fully vaccinated and have a negative PCR (not older than 72 hours) or lateral flow test (not older than 24 hours) test on boarding – this is needed if you are flying into / transiting through Geneva. NB – Children under the age of 16 are exempt from testing.
- Sworn statement certifying the absence of COVID-19 symptoms for France – 2.2 Sworn Statement here
- If coming via Geneva you may be asked for proof of onward journey (transfer/bus/car hire confirmatin) and final address (lodge booking confirmation)
- As of 14th January 2022 you no longer need to provide a negative test or complete a passenger locator form to return home to the UK if you are a British citizen.
Entering France (driving/flying)
At the moment if you are double vaccinated you can enter France of a holiday and do not need to quarantine when traveling to France. If you are unvaccinated you cannot enter France for non-essential reasons.
From 14 January 2022, fully vaccinated (see ‘Vaccination status’ below) travellers from the UK must:
- Present a negative PCR or antigen test result taken within 24 hours pre-departure if aged 12 years and over.
- Provide a completed ‘sworn statement’ (déclaration sur l’honneur) form self-certifying you’re not suffering from symptoms associated with coronavirus and have not been in contact with confirmed cases in the preceding fortnight.
The official declaration ‘on their honour’ – the form is here – states that they accept that further testing can be performed on arrival in France, and that they have no symptoms of Covid-19. If needed, your Dragon Lodge booking confirmation form will have your Address in France.
While in France you need a Passe Sanitaire (proof of vacination status) to access bars, restaurants and since 4th December buy a lift pass – while you can use your HNS app you can download the Tous Anti Covid app for iphone and android and upload your NHS proof by scanning the QR code and also use it to display your return home negative test status
Travelling Via Switzerland : Passenger Locator Forms
