Fly
The main airport used to get to Tignes is Geneva (more flight & transfer options) but you can also fly to Chambery (closest, cheaper transfers – but less flight & transfer options) and also Lyon, Grenoble + St. Etienne (less flight options & more expensive transfers).

The snow train from London St. Pancras is an excellent way to travel to the Alps, while keeping your Carbon Footprint down.

Daytime & overnight direct or via Paris
The overnight options are great as they arrive in Bourg St. Maurice (40 mins from Tignes) on the Saturday morning. This means you can be on the slopes by 10am! The return train leaves Bourg St. Maurice between 9pm and 10pm the following Saturday – giving you 8 full days on the slopes!

Drive
Driving offers the ultimate freedom when travelling, and for a group of three or four is a cheap option. Travel by boat or tunnel to Calais, from where Tignes is approximately 600 miles or 8-10 hours by motorway (autoroute). Extras to remember when driving include foreign insurance and Auto Route tolls, which are approximately £30 each way. Depending on the weather conditions, snow chains may be necessary for the last 25Km section of the journey. Covered parking is recommended, especially between December and March, and can be booked at Tignes Parking. The ‘Le Lac 2′ and ‘Le Lac 3′ parking garages are just a minute or two walk from the lodge.
