The Lodge

We set up Dragon Lodge in 1997 with a simple idea: to create the kind of place we'd want to stay with our mates. Somewhere we could bring together like-minded folk who share our love of the mountains, snowboarding and skiing — swap stories at the end of a long day, share what we've learned from years on the hill, and put a proper welcome, great food and a brilliant location on the table...Almost 30 years on, that's still what we do.

We've stayed honest about who we are. The accommodation is simple, the rooms are cosy, and we'll happily admit we don't do champagne hot tubs or canapés on silver tays — there are plenty of places in Tignes that will, if that's your thing. But if you're after somewhere with real atmosphere, in a great location, run by people who actually live and breathe this stuff, all shared with a crew of good humans who'll feel like friends by the end of the week — you'll fit right in here.

Here's some details & info about what a stay at the lodge actually looks like:

  • Centrally located at 2100m in Tignes Le Lac
  • 100m from the nearest piste
  • Short stroll to the Maison de Tignes (central hub, lift pass office, ski-school meeting point) shops, bars & restaurants
  • 3 minute walk to everyones favourite Palafour lift & Tovier bubble link to Val D'Isere
  • Sleep 18 - 22 people
  • 9 bedrooms: three downstairs & three x 2 bedroom "mini-lodge apartments upstairs
  • Large communal living & dining room
  • Board & ski store & maintainence room
  • South facing balcony / West facing terrace
  • High speed WIFI throughout

A gathering place for like-minded folk

Our large dining room with open kitchen is where you'll all get together for breakfast every day and share 3 course evening meals, with unlimited wine 5 evenings.

The living room area is the hub of the lodge where morning plans are made before hitting the slopes and drinks shared, stories told and friends made each night.

South and West facing windows and balconies offer great views to inspire over a morning coffee or afternoon apres beer.

  • Our fully equiped board room is on this floor where you can wax and prepare boards or skis as well as store them & boots.
  • Access to the three downstairs bedrooms is via the living room too - a dpuble, twin and hybrid room that has a double and bunks for flexibly sleeping a couple, two friends, small group or family.
  • Two bathrooms and a seperate WC are shared between these 3 rooms

Upstairs are our three "mini lodge" apartments, each a self contained suite with a living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchenette. Sleeping 4 or 5 they're perfect for small groups, friends sharing, or families. The mini-lodge apartments give you some extra space to chill together as a group as well as the communal living and dining rooms downstairs.
