Footprint ‘Snowboard The World’ guidebook:
On Tignes (page 154)
The Town:
“In recent years Tignes has had quite a makeover: the town centre (just a couple of minutes walk from the lodge) at Le Lac has been revamped to provide a genuine focal point, and a huge all weather leisure complex (which is free with a weeks lift pass and has swimming pool, gym, saunas, Jacuzzis etc) has just been built next to the lake.”

The Mountain:
“Tignes links to Val D’Isere (together they form the Espace Killy) means that the sheer amount of terrain is enouromous – way more than anyone could hope to cover during a weeks holiday. Then there’s the sheer variety of terrain: world class freeriding, a choice of two high quality snow-parks and every pitch and standard of piste inbetween.”

No. 3 – Dragon Lodge:

“Not strictly a hotel, but definitely one of the mellowest, friendliest places you’ll stay. Great food as well.”
